JOHNS CREEK - Chattahoochee High School’s Hollyn Phelps has committed to play basketball at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. Phelps, the 2010 Chattahoochee High School homecoming queen, is a four-year varsity basketball player and academic athlete. Captain of the basketball team the past two years, Phelps received the All-Tournament player award at the Hooch Holiday Tournament her sophomore year and was the defensive player of the year as a freshman and sophomore.
In addition to basketball, Phelps also has been on Chattahoochee’s volleyball, track and varsity soccer teams. She received the Coaches Award for volleyball as a sophomore and also earned the Super Cougar award in weight training.
Phelps is involved in FCA, Student Venture and Life Teen. As a member of the National Charity League, she has volunteered more than 600 hours of community service, with a special emphasis on her favorite charity, the Ronald McDonald House.
