‘Pete the Cat’ rocks Johns Creek Elementary School

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Eric Litwin, four-time No. 1 New York Times best-selling author of “Pete the Cat” picture books, performed at Johns Creek Elementary School’s annual Breakfast with Santa Dec. 8.

Litwin engaged the crowd in a reading of his most recent book, “Pete the Cat Saves Christmas,” including the music that goes along with the book.

He was accompanied by Michael Levine, his music producer and co-creator of the “The Learning Groove.”

Litwin later signed copies of books. The Johns Creek Elementary Jaguar Chorus, directed by music teacher David Krosner, performed featuring students on vocals, percussion, guitar, bass, flute and other instruments.

Krosner, who has been a friend of Litwin for many years, has also arranged for students and alumni to record music used in four “Pete the Cat” books and seven of Litwin’s award winning CDs.
