CUMMING, Ga. — A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of Peeping Tom in connection with an incident at the Belk in Cumming on March 29.
Randy William Wilson, 38, of Cleveland, Ga., was arrested April 3 after a tip resulting from media coverage of the March 29 incident.
Forsyth County detectives went to Wilson’s residence and he fled on foot.
After a brief chase, Wilson was taken into custody, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to the Peeping Tom charges, Wilson, who was on parole, was charged with parole violation.
On March 29, deputies were called to the Belk in Lakeland Plaza in Cumming with a report of a man peering under the door of a female dressing room while a female was undressing.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office released photos of the male in the store to media, said Detective Tyler Sexton.
The release of the photos resulted in tips from the public, including a spotting of the suspect in another store at the Dawsonville Outlet Mall.
Sexton said a tip from the public led to Wilson’s arrest.
Wilson, who is being held at the White County Detention Center with no bond, did have a prior Peeping Tom charge.
