Paladins Football team trains at U.S. Army Ranger School

CUMMING, Ga. — On Wednesday, Aug. 7, Pinecrest Academy Varsity Head Football Coach Todd Winter, his coaching staff and 43 players were introduced to U.S. Army Ranger School Mountaineering Training in Dahlonega.

The training consisted of confidence building, 30-foot wall rappel training and team building, while crossing a one-wire bridge 25 feet above fast moving rapids of a river that runs through the Ranger Camp. The Pinecrest Paladins football team and coaching staff received two motivating talks from Ranger instructors who related their military service and need for team unity to the football field.

SFC Gibson and 5th Ranger Training Battalion shared a line-by-line parallel between the U.S. Army Ranger Creed and the game of football.
