North Fulton students place amongst elite in ‘Cheetah Cup’

NORTH FULTON, Ga. — Students from all across North Fulton gathered to compete at the fourth annual Cheetah Cup, a math competition for students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades. A total of 185 students representing 20 schools attended the competition.

Hosted April 20 by the Creek View Elementary Academic Bowl Team, students competed for awards in both team and individual categories. The students had to solve 20 problems on a variety of mathematical topics.

The competition was fierce, and students were required to use countless techniques to tackle problems. Tiebreaker questions were necessary to determine every individual and team prize. Special congratulations go to the following teams and individuals for their outstanding performance:

Sixth grade:

First – Adam Wang, Webb Bridge

Third – Rohit Das, Webb Bridge

Fifth grade:

First – Nithik Balachandran, Crabapple Crossing

Second – Shreya Kumar, Crabapple Crossing

Fourth grade:
