FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga.–– Nichols Drive will be temporarily closed to through traffic between James Burgess Road and Nichols Road beginning May 27.
The closure of the road is due to the replacement of a failing pipe and the construction of a new reinforced box culvert that will be sized to better handle heavy rains. The construction will improve safety in the area, according to a press release.
The road is expected to be reopened on Aug. 2.
“We appreciate motorists’ patience during this temporary closure,” Director of Engineering John Cunard said.
