FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Supporting Adoptive and Foster Families Together family life center (formerly SAFFT visitation center) is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new facility, 219 Castleberry Road in Cumming, at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15.
First Lady Sandra Deal and other community leaders plan to attend.
Attendees will also get to tour their new 10,000-square-foot facility adjacent to the Cumming Fairgrounds.
“We already got everything moved over,” said Ashley Anderson, the executive director for SAFFT.
Anderson asked that all cases no longer use the Veterans Memorial Boulevard facility.
The SAFFT Family Life Center provides supervised visits for foster children with their biological parents, as well as parenting classes, life coaching and emergency aid for parents of children involved in juvenile court.
Another part of the service SAFFT provides includes a place where custody exchanges can occur when parents are divorced or separated.
The center supports foster and adoptive families by supplying meals, children’s clothing, toys and baby supplies.
