NORTH FULTON, Ga. – The Milton Boy Scout District (cities of Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Milton) announced that Greyson Butler, Matthew Rainey, Andrew Peoples and Austin Garrett passed their Board of Review on July 26 and are the district’s newest Eagle Scouts.
For his Eagle project, Butler, of Troop 429, sponsored by Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, constructed a 12-by-12-foot patio, using concrete pavers and three wooden benches for the patio, for Midway Community Church.
Rainey, of Troop 69, sponsored by Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, designed and built an arbor and two raised garden beds for the Community Garden at Wills Road.
Peoples, of Troop 985, sponsored by Northbrook United Methodist Church, built an outdoor bulletin board complete with a shingled roof. He also built two benches to place near the garden at Leita Thompson Park.
Garrett, of Troop 841, sponsored by St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, constructed a shelving unit for the Alpharetta High School orchestra room, to hold the students’ backpacks.
