Mutts and More pairs pets with forever homes 3rd annual festival attracts thousands

CUMMING, Ga. — Thousands of families, friends and their furry companions visited the Mutts and More Festival on Father’s Day — June 16.

Many attended the event in search of a new family member, while others went to show their support.

Rachel Hernandez and her family came with their 13-year old-dog, Lucy, who was adopted from the Humane Society of Forsyth County years ago.

“We came to see the dogs for adoption today. We already have three, but we support adoption. All of our dogs were rescues from the Forsyth Humane Society,” Hernandez said. This is the third year that the Humane Society of Forsyth County has organized the Mutts and More Festival. Other organizations participate each year to help their sheltered pets find a home. Some of the organizations included Angels Among Us, You Lucky Dog and Fulton County Animal Control.

Road Trip Home Animal Rescue was also invited to attend the festival.
