ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Welcome to the jungle. On March 2-3, the Milton Center in Alpharetta was transformed into a jungle where a boy was raised by dancing wolves, a tumbling panther and a singing bear. Along the way, he encountered jamming monkeys, rocking vultures, an 18-foot slithering snake, twirling flower dancers, adorable ant performers, elephants marching in a military style and an ill-tempered tiger.
Nearly 200 kindergarten through fifth-graders from Mountain Park Elementary’s drama club performed an elementary school version of Disney’s “The Jungle Book” to sold-out crowds Saturday and Sunday night. A talented team of parents and teachers led by Niki Armour and SaraBeth Stark directed, produced, choreographed and created unique costumes for each child.
