Mother, daughter arrested for shoplifting in Forsyth

CUMMING, Ga. — A mother and her daughter allegedly were caught stealing $550 worth of merchandise from a department store, according to a Cumming Police incident report.

At 9:30 p.m. on May 16, employees of Kohl’s, 1615 Market Place Boulevard, told officers they caught the two shoplifting.

Loss prevention officers said they had hours of video surveillance showing them walking in and out of the dressing rooms stuffing garments in their clothes and pursues.

The mother stole $327 worth of merchandise and her 16-year-old daughter stole $227.

Officers talked to the suspects who said they were “sorry” for shoplifting.
