Mom takes clothing from store in North Point with child in tow



ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A woman allegedly tried to steal nearly $500 in clothes while shopping with her 9-year-old daughter Dec. 21.

Employees of the Von Maur at North Point Mall told police they saw Kimika Ellis Nelson, 37, of Addison Lane, Johns Creek, select several pairs of jeans valued at about $200 each and then try to leave the store.

She was arrested for shoplifting. Her daughter was taken by a friend.
