NORTH FULTON, Ga. — Two Milton students proceeded to the Georgia Geography Bee April 5 in Milledgeville, with one of them, Sanjeev Uppaluri, taking the prize.

Uppaluri, a 10-year-old fifth-grader from Fulton Sunshine Elementary School in Roswell, won after a grueling four-hour contest that included 90 finalists from across the state.

He will represent Georgia at the national bee on May 22 in Washington, D.C.

Chris Fettes, a sixth-grade student at Hopewell Middle School, represented the school at the Georgia Geography Bee. Fettes is the first Hopewell student to advance to the state competition.
