FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — If you’re a mechanic, a musician or redoing your home, the owners of a new business in South Forsyth want you to drop in and check out their deals before heading elsewhere.
Car emergency kits, microwaves, bathtubs, lawnmowers, pressure washers, toys and baby monitors are just a few of the items at Midway Warehouse, 4820 Atlanta Highway in Cumming, whose motto is “everything for less.”
“All half-price, name brand and for less,” said co-owner Todd Levent, who is also a Forsyth County commissioner. “Every week, a new shipment will come in and that’s the fun of the adventure of the shop.”
The 15,000-square-foot space is located on the corner of Post Road and Atlanta Highway inside the old Alpha Rug and behind the Rite Aid drug store. Wall-to-wall, the building is filled with new items, gently used items and returned items at large retailers. Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Levent said he’s stocking his newly opened shop with patio furniture and lawn gear for his summer shoppers. All items can be tested before being bought, and there’s a seven-day return policy in place.
Levent has a background in law enforcement and real estate. Now, he’s reinventing himself.
“It’s different from what I’ve done before,” Levent said. “People are looking for deals. They are looking to live a great lifestyle for less money and this helps allow that.”
Items not sold in the store will likely get donated to area thrift stores, Levent said.
The warehouse’s co-owner Craig Nolen said he has been in the business of reselling items for two years in Gainesville.
Nolen hopes his new business will continue to grow and soon wants to open more areas of the warehouse and stock it with retail items.
“I’ve always felt this area was in need for something like this,” Nolen said. “We just needed the right location and this became available.”
