Men attempt to steal $750 worth of jeans from North Point Mall

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Two men were arrested after they attempted to take jeans from Von Maur, according to an Alpharetta Police Department report.

Taliv Floyd, 36, of East Point and Michael Coes, 44, of Atlanta were charged with theft by shoplifting, a felony offense.

At 4 p.m. Dec. 23, a Von Maur security guard in North Point Mall, 4000 North Point Circle, told an officer on duty in the mall he saw two men behaving suspiciously in the True Religion denim section of the store. One man, later identified as Coes, selected five pairs of jeans and set them down in the floor. The guard then saw the other suspect, Floyd, pick the jeans up and walk out of the store without paying for them.

The jeans were valued at $750.

The officer made contact with the men outside the store where they were arrested and taken to the Alpharetta Detention Center.
