CUMMING, Ga. — A local saddle club held their second annual Memorial Show Oct. 27.

Midway Saddle Club’s event was held so that riders could pay tribute to their loved animals that have passed away.

Owners sometimes consider them part of the family, said Vicky Alsup, president of the Midway Saddle Club.

The club holds shows from March to October each year, 8330 Seabolt Road in Cumming.

“The Memorial Show is done in memory of our loved ones,” Alsup said.

Many were at the event just to ride, like Lance Moody and his horse Loveall, who were there from the National Racking Horse Association, and rider Chelcy Spriggs and her horse Rascal.

About 100 people and their horses attended the event.
