Memorial Day BBQ and Guest Speaker in Forsyth County

Father Andrew Stephen Damick will speak on “Churching the Nation”



CUMMING, Ga. — Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church in Cumming, Ga. will be hosting the Rev. Andrew Stephen Damick on May 26 as he speaks on “Churching the Nation.”

Andrew is pastor of St. Paul Orthodox Church in Emmaus, Pa. He also lectures widely on Orthodox evangelism, history, ecology, comparative theology and localism.

He is a founding member and one of the associate directors of the Society for Orthodox Christian History in the Americas. Andrew hosts the Orthodoxy and Heterodoxy and Roads from Emmaus podcasts on Ancient Faith Radio, as well as writing the Roads from Emmaus weblog.

He is the author of “Orthodoxy and Heterodoxy” which will be the foundation from which he will speak.

Books will be available for signing.

We will be offering a Southern BBQ, for about $10, on the church grounds at noon followed by a free afternoon workshop starting at 1:30 p.m.
