Man pumps gas in Forsyth County, drives away

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A man pumped gas and drove away from the station without paying for it, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s report.

Between 11:20 and 11:30 p.m. Dec. 20, the store manager of Murphy Gas station, 5415 Atlanta Highway in Alpharetta, told deputies a man pumped $36.52 worth of gas in his blue Chrysler and did not pay for it.

According to the report, the station does not have pre-pay pumps, which makes it easier for drivers to pump gas and not pay for it.

The manager said there are two other incidents of the same person driving off without paying. The other amounts were $26.68 and $38.60.

The manager was able to give deputies a tag number to follow-up on.
