Man on the street: What do you do daily to help conserve?
“I always make sure to turn off the water when I brush my teeth,” said Khalid Smith of Johns Creek.
Pam Sparkman of Cumming and Reshma Ranija of Johns Creek both recycle glass, plastic and aluminum products. Ranija also manages the recycling program for her building.
“I bring my own reusable shopping bags when I go shopping at Publix or Kroger,” said Lena Ruban of Johns Creek.
Nikki Kariminia of Johns Creek unplugs her cellphone and laptop chargers every night.
Kathryn Paxton of Roswell runs a miniature farm where she harvests chicken eggs.
Lena Chu of Johns Creek has been a member of the green school club for three years. “It’s a great school club where we collect recycling from all the teachers’ classrooms and plant greenery around the school.”
Sae Hae Jeong of Alpharetta tends to her own garden. “I grow squash, tomatoes and have recently started growing cucumbers.”
