CUMMING, Ga. — When a restaurant server checked his table for money, all he found was a Target gift card, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.
A server at Ichiban, 410 Peachtree Parkway, told deputies he waited on a man and two women who did not pay their bill Nov. 24.
He said they ordered several items totaling about $150.
The two women left while the man waited for the bill.
When the server gave the man his bill, he said the man asked for to-go sauce and then he walked to the bathroom.
The manager said he saw the man walk out of the bathroom, pass the table and head toward the front door.
The manager asked the man if he paid the bill, and the man said he left the money on the table.
When the server went to the table, he found a Target gift card placed on top of the bill.
Deputies said the balance left on the gift card was $0.24.
