Man drives car into Alpharetta pond

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A Milton man was arrested Oct. 14 after allegedly driving his car into a pond while drunk.

A call came in to police about 9:41 p.m. of a car sitting in the pond in front of the Honda building on Westside Parkway. When police arrived, they found the Ford Taurus sitting in two feet of water, apparently driven there from the road. The driver was not to be seen. A check of the tag turned up Kip Wesley Cale, 36, of Commonwealth Circle, Milton, who was the subject of an earlier Milton call. His roommate allegedly called police saying Cale had driven from the residence while drunk.

Cale was eventually found near Marconi Drive wearing nothing but his boxer shorts. He was arrested for DUI, failure to maintain lane and hit and run.
