ROSWELL, Ga. — On Oct. 27, the Michael O’Neal Singers and the Roswell United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir will present “An Afternoon with Mack Wilberg: The Man and His Music.” Wilberg, music director of the world renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will be guest conductor of the 225-voice ensemble for this concert composed entirely of his own compositions and arrangements.
Accompaniment will be provided by instrumentalists from the Atlanta Wind Symphony on brass, winds and percussion, and by Tom Alderman at the Roswell UMC 94-rank Möller organ. Because Wilberg is kept busy managing his responsibilities with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, his guest appearances are rare. MOS and RUMC are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to the metro Atlanta area.
The concert takes place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Roswell United Methodist Church. Roswell UMC is located at 814 Mimosa Boulevard in Roswell. There is plenty of free off-street parking available and the sanctuary is fully accessible. For planning purposes, please know that the doors to the sanctuary will open at 3 p.m., and that all seating is general admission. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students/seniors ages 60 and older, and may be purchased online at www.mosingers.com, by calling 770-594-7974, or by visiting the worship arts office on the Roswell UMC campus.
