Local Forsyth high schools take part in record-size praline

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – On Feb. 7, South Forsyth and West Forsyth High School culinary students were part of a new record for the world’s largest pecan praline.

A group of 3,000 culinary students from Georgia gathered to make the praline at the Georgia International Conference Center as part of the 10th annual Hospitality Education Foundation of Georgia Expo.

At the Hospitality Expo, the students created a 530-pound pecan praline in two and a half hours, beating the old record by 90 pounds.
