King’s Ridge’s Grayson Byrd named Region 6A Player of the Year

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – King’s Ridge Christian School (KRCS) shortstop Grayson Byrd has been named the Georgia High School Association Region 6A Player of the Year by regional baseball coaches.

Byrd led the KRCS Tigers to a 26-4 record and the school’s first-ever state championship.

Byrd was the team’s lead-off hitter with a .473 batting average, three homeruns, 35 RBI and 33 runs scored.

He finished the season hitting a three-run homerun in his last at bat as a high school player in the state championship.

Byrd has signed to play with Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
