JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Katharyn Carroll of Johns Creek was recently selected to participate in the 2013 Miss Jr. Teen Atlanta pageant competition that took place on Sunday, March 24.
Carroll learned of her acceptance into this year’s competition when the pageant announced their selections following interviewing in the local Atlanta area.
She will be competing for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants.
The competition will be composed of modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear. Most importantly, Carroll will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing with this year’s Atlanta judging panel. Personality is the No. 1 aspect on which each contestant is judged during all phases of competition.
If Carroll were to win the title of Miss Jr. Teen Atlanta, she would represent Atlanta and the surrounding communities at the national competition in Orlando, Fla. Some $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at the national competition while each winner enjoys the expense-paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.
