JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann presented Johns Creek firefighter Robert “Bob” Scott with a proclamation Aug. 3.
Scott recently won the 2012 Catalina 22 National Championship Regatta, held on Scotts Flat Lake in Nevada City, Calif.
Scott, an experienced sailor and competitor, serves his community as a firefighter in Johns Creek Station No. 61.
Scott is the only person in 40 years to win both the Silver Fleet Championship in 2004 and the National Regatta Championship in 2012.
Chief Jeff Hogan and fellow firefighters, along with his wife, Kelly, accompanied Hausmann as she presented the proclamation.
“We are always proud of our best and grateful for Bob’s dedication to the citizens of Johns Creek,” she said. “We applaud his service and sailing.”
