Johns Creek resident Jack Wofford, 51, dies suddenly

Friends initiate fund for family



JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Jack Wofford, age 51, of Johns Creek died Jan. 7, 2014.

Active in restaurant management, his career started at age 17 at La Paz in Sandy Springs. His career continued in the restaurant industry with Roasters Rotisserie, Carmen’s Pizzeria and Jim ’N Nick’s BBQ.

Mr. Wofford was an avid golfer and participated in the annual Wofford Memorial Golf Tournament each year. A humble and great man, he will be missed by his family as well as co-workers, customers and all who knew him.

Mr. Wofford is survived by his wife Peggy Wofford and his daughter Trixie Wofford, both of Johns Creek; sisters Jeanne Weinstein of Atlanta and Perrin Rountree of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers J. Brian Wofford, Jeff Wofford, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tom Wofford of Portland, Ore.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 12 at Sandy Springs Chapel. Dr. Gil Watson officiated the service, and burial followed at Arlington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Wofford Memorial Trust Fund at Jim ’N Nick’s BBQ. Contact Bob Haynes at 678-630-2821.
