ALPHARETTA, Ga. – What should have ended with a warning from police ended up with a fight and a deployed Taser Oct. 5.
Police arrived at Pepperoni’s Tavern at 3 a.m. after calls of a fight in the parking lot. The two men involved allegedly said they only had gotten into a verbal dispute. One man, Nolan David Linsler, 22, of Spirit Falls Way, Johns Creek, allegedly gave police a false name.
Since there was no evidence of a physical fight, no one was to be charged. However, since Linsler gave false information to the officer, the officer moved to arrest him. Linsler allegedly ran, but was quickly caught. However, a fight broke out as he resisted. Eventually, police deployed a Taser to subdue Linsler.
Linsler was charged with giving a false name to police and obstruction.
