Jewelry taken from Forsyth County home

CUMMING, Ga. — Thieves kicked in a woman’s front door to enter her home and steal jewelry, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

A woman in the 6900 block of Woodhaven Drive told deputies she left her home at 11:40 a.m. March 5. When she returned at 3 p.m., she noticed her front door was kicked in and a side window was broken.

The victim said she called law enforcement and didn’t enter the home until deputies arrived.

No one was in the home when deputies arrived. The deputies and the victim walked through the home and found a jewelry box in the master bedroom had been rummaged through and jewelry missing.

The thieves broke open a leather briefcase, but it was empty. The closet also had hundreds in loose and rolled change that was left untouched.

Other bedrooms were also rummaged through but the victim couldn’t find anything else missing.
