FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Italian manufacturer Motovario has expanded its U.S. headquarters in Forsyth County.
This expansion is projected to generate 35 new jobs and $4 million in new capital investment, according to the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
Established in 1965 in the town of Formigine, at the heart of the Modena industrial district, Motovario has grown to become one of the most important Italian and European manufacturers of gear units for industrial and civil applications.
Motovario’s new facility is located on Bluegrass Lakes Parkway – adjacent to the headquarters of other international manufacturers, including Enervex, Hansgrohe and Lonza.
The company hosted an official ribbon-cutting ceremony April 18.
“I picked Forsyth County because I was looking for a chamber that was involved in the community and businesses,” said James Suh, president of Motovario in a news release. “I felt that the Forsyth Chamber [of Commerce] was very active and I was encouraged by them.”
Forsyth County is home to 62 international companies, including 17 regional or national headquarters.
“We are thrilled that Motovario has expanded within our community,” said Linda Cole, chairwoman of board of directors for the chamber. “Their growth is a testament to the economic vitality of our community.”
