ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Independence High School hosted representatives from more than 30 colleges, universities, technical schools and branches of the military during the annual College, Career and Military Fair Oct. 31.

All Independence students had the opportunity to visit with the various recruiters, gather information and have their questions answered regarding post-secondary education and career options.

This year, as an added benefit to the school’s stakeholders, parents were invited to attend as well, and the administration, faculty and staff would like to thank all those who made time in their schedules to visit and share the event with their students.

The annual “Scholarships and Scores!” financial aid and ACT/SAT workshop took place Nov. 13.

Representatives from the Georgia Student Finance Commission and the Princeton Review were on hand to discuss the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA), applying for scholarships and determining which of the tests (ACT or SAT) would be the best fit for each student.
