Household hazardous waste collection June 14



ROSWELL, Ga. — Those paint buckets and thinner along with bags of pesticides and gallons of pool chemicals can now be disposed of safely.

The Roswell Public Works and Environmental Department will hold a household hazardous waste collection event on June 14.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will be held at 1810 Hembree Road in Roswell.

Items accepted include oil-based paint and paint thinner, pesticides, pool chemicals, household cleaners and batteries, mercury thermometers and thermostats, fluorescent bulbs, propane cylinders, aerosols and automotive brake fluids and motor oils.

No other automotive fluids nor latex paint will be accepted.

The Environmental Quality Company will be handling and disposing of the materials.

Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.
