Hornets take another tough loss

Woodstock 26, Roswell 24

WOODSTOCK, Ga. – Roswell dropped its sixth straight game, losing 26-24 at Woodstock last Friday night, the third time this season the Hornets have lost by three points or fewer.

A blocked punt led to Woodstock’s first touchdown and put the Hornets in a 10-0 hole, and Roswell spent the rest of the game trying to rally.

Andrew Kwateng rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Ryan Monte threw 40- and 18-yard touchdown passes to Bennett Barton, but each score left the Hornets either two or three points behind, as did a Barton field goal.

The Hornets are at home Friday against Cherokee, with both teams coming into the game 0-4 in Region 5-AAAAAA and 1-6 overall.
