Hooch student on US Geography team



JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Nirav Ilango has earned a number of national academic honors for himself and Chattahoochee High School.

The sophomore competed in the U.S. Geography Olympiad in Washington, D.C, April 26 – 28 and placed fourth overall in the country (varsity division).

Ilango also earned a spot on the first ever Team USA that will compete in the International Geography Olympiad in Kyoto, Japan in July. Ilango then placed second in the nation at the History Bee National Championship out of 160 participants (junior varsity).
