ATLANTA — Home Depot, the Atlanta-based home improvement giant, announced that it will hire about 80,000 temporary workers nationwide in anticipation of its big spring season, the busiest time of year for the company.
About 1,200 of the new hires will be in the metro area, Stephen Holmes, a company spokesman told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Some of the jobs will transition to permanent employment.
Spring is busiest time because that’s when consumers do most yard work and indoor projects.
