CUMMING – The Healthcare Association of Forsyth County will unveil nutritional activity guides and kiosks at the Bethelview Trailhead of the Big Creek Greenway on Friday, Dec. 17 at 10 a.m.

The guides and kiosks will be placed along the trails, at Fowler Park and at the Bethelview and McFarland trailheads in Forsyth County, as part of HCA’s work with the county’s “Envision a Fit Forsyth” initiative. Nutritional activity guides, located at miles one, three and five from both Forsyth County entry points, will inform Greenway users of levels of activity and calories burned per activity along the trails. Kiosks with more detailed fitness information will be located at Fowler Park and at the trailheads.

Lynn Jackson, chair of the Healthcare Association, will be on hand at the kiosk unveiling to present the guides and discuss how the initiative can benefit the community. The public is invited to attend.

Last year, HCA, a business unit of the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, created the annual 5K Boulder Dash road race to give back to the local community. Proceeds from the race were donated to “Envision a Fit Forsyth”, and HCA began working with Forsyth’s Parks and Recreation Department to develop the activity and nutrition guides as part of the county’s fitness program.

HCA is a collective voice for healthcare issues affecting Forsyth County, providing information and resources to help ensure the highest quality of healthcare meets the needs of those living and working in the county.
