FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Fleenor family were given the keys to their new home at Fleetwood Trail in Gainesville on Saturday, Aug. 18.
More than 50 people attended the ceremony representing family members, community volunteers, sponsors and Habitat staff and board members.
All in attendance were moved by the family’s overwhelming joy of finally having their own home.
The home was built in partnership with Amy Fleenor, who was very thankful for all of the support her family has received over the last year to build this new home for her and her four sons.
“We have faced many trials and tribulations but we are strong and we have so much more to grow and become,” said Fleenor. This new home will lead the way to better things.” Ms. Fleenor is employed by the Goodwill Industries and is attending Lanier Tech to become a Certified Nurse Assistant.
The home was sponsored by Verizon, State Farm, Gateway EDI, United Way of Forsyth County, ADP, Transamerica, Christ the King Lutheran Church, KeyWorth Bank, South Forsyth Rotary Club, RedPrairie and Unitiv.
