Gun, television stolen from Forsyth County home



FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A burglar entered an unlocked door and stole several items, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office report.

At 12 p.m. Dec. 28, a man in the 9000 block of Lanton Way told deputies he arrived home from work and found his house’s side door open. The door had been left unlocked.

The thief took a Smith and Wesson 9 millimeter handgun and a television.

The handgun was not loaded and no ammunition was taken.

The deputy found tire tracks in the grass and a smoked cigarette in the driveway. The victim said no one who lives at his home smokes cigarettes.

The handgun is valued at $500.
