Forsyth County employee honored by Georgia Urban Forest Council



FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Urban Forest Council (GUFC) recently honored Forsyth County employee Nancy Lovingood during an Oct. 24 awards luncheon held in Columbus.

Lovingood, a development services manager with the Department of Planning and Community Development, was awarded the 2013 Outstanding Individual Achievement Grant Award for her “outstanding work as steward, teacher and advocate for a healthy urban forest.”

Lovingood was selected from nominees around the state for this annual Excellence in Urban Forestry Award.

As development services manager for the Forsyth County Department of Planning and Community Development, Lovingood is responsible for management and coordination between the permit, inspection and current planning divisions.
