STANFORD, Calif. – Former Centennial High School football player David Yankey was a unanimous All-America selection this season as an offensive lineman at Stanford, earning a spot on the first team of all three of the major lists.
Yankey was named first team All-America by the Associated Press, coaches and football writers, helping lead Stanford to a Pac-12 Conference championship and a spot in the Rose Bowl New Year’s Day.
During his three seasons at Stanford, Yankey has played both guard and tackle, starting at guard this season. Yankey is eligible for the NFL draft and is projected as an early round selection. However, he does have one more year of college eligibility after redshirting as a freshman.
