Ford new Hornets coach



ROSWELL, Ga. - Coach John Ford, Roswell High’s Offensive Coordinator has been selected as the Head Football Coach for the 2013 season. Coach Ford has ten years of previous coaching experience.

Coach Ford came to Roswell High School from Harrison High School, GA. where he coached Running Backs under Head Coach Bruce Cobleigh. While at Harrison he helped develop RB Robbie Godhigh and was a member of Harrison’s State playoff teams in 2005 and 2007. In 2008 Coach Ford was hired by Roswell’s Head Coach Leo Barker as Running Backs coach and Special Team’s Coordinator. Coach Ford was the position coach for two All-State Kickers Richie Leone, University of Houston and Ty Long, UAB and was a member of Roswell High’s 2009 last State Playoff Sweet 16 team.

Coach Ford attended Brookwood High School and played for Coach Dave Hunter and was a member of the 1996 AAAA State Championship Team and the 1997 AAAA State Semi-Finalist Team. Coach Ford received his degree in Spanish from Clemson University and teaches Spanish at Roswell High School.
