Fire boot drive raises $72K in Roswell

ROSWELL, Ga. – For the fifth consecutive year, the Roswell Fire Department was recognized as the top collector by the Georgia Firefighter’s Burn Foundation during their 2012 boot drive.

The Roswell Fire Department collected $71,929. The fire department also placed first in the amount of money collected per capita – $553.30.

The fire department will receive a 10 percent return of the total money raised – $7,192 – for educational materials for fire prevention activities.
