Family Christmas programs coming to local library branches in Forsyth

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Public Library (FCPL) will offer several programs for children and families this holiday season.

FCPL will host Polar Express parties at each of the four branches. This event for all ages celebrates Christmas and the classic children’s book, “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg.

Children are invited to attend the program in their pajamas and enjoy seasonal treats, stories and crafts. Participants will also receive one of Santa’s sleigh bells.

For this program, please register online to attend. The schedule of programs is as follows:

Sharon Forks Library, 2820 Old Atlanta Road, Monday, Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Cumming Library, 585 Dahlonega Road, Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Hampton Park Library, 5345 Settingdown Road, Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Post Road Library, 5010 Post Road, Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m.

The library will also offer “Tis the Season for Stories” for children and families in December. The event will feature seasonal stories, songs and a puppet show. Patrons do not need to register to attend this program. The schedule is as follows:

Post Road Library, Saturday, Dec. 14 at 11:15 a.m.

Cumming Library, Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 11:15 a.m.

Sharon Forks Library, Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

Hampton Park Library, Friday, Dec. 20 at 11:15 a.m.
