ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A Tucker man was arrested April 22 for allegedly forging a prescription to get drugs.
According to employees of the State Bridge Publix store, Jeffery Lee Melton, 56, of Tucker came into the store about 7 p.m. and presented a prescription to the pharmacy asking for Lortab.
The pharmacist called the doctor’s office the prescription came from and the doctor said this was the fifth time Melton had tried to use the prescription. The pharmacist noted it looked like the prescription had been photocopied from an original.
