Drunken woman alleged to kick deputy in head

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – After running off the road and getting stuck in a field, a drunken Gainesville woman was taken to a local hospital where she allegedly urinated on the floor and kicked a deputy on the head.

According to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report, Billie D. Burke, 50, of Gainesville, was charged with public drunkenness and two counts of obstructing a police officer.

Deputies were responding to a call about 7:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of Medlock Road in Gainesville of a car being driven by a man that had been traveling fast and had run off the road.

When deputies arrived, they found Burke in the driver’s seat trying to get the car unstuck from the field.

“[She] appeared to be in an intoxicated state. Ms. Burke was heavily slurring her words, talking very loudly and using profane language,” a deputy wrote.

The alleged male driver of the car, identified only by his street name, “Beanie,” was not at the scene when deputies arrived.

Two deputies said they attempted to help Burke out of the car.

Once on the roadway, she allegedly swung at a deputy and was placed in handcuffs.

Burke had a glass pipe in her pocket and a cellophane pack of “Funky Green Stuff” brand aromatic incense.

At the Forsyth County Jail, a nurse recommended that Burke be taken to Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming for medical release.

“Upon arrival at the hospital, Ms. Burke became belligerent again. Ms. Burke urinated on the hospital floor,” the report stated.

In addition, Burke attempted to kick an emergency room doctor and kicked two deputies in their heads.

She was later released and taken to Forsyth County Jail without further incident.
