CUMMING, Ga. – Joshua Dobbs passed for 432 yards and five touchdowns to lead Alpharetta to a 35-7 victory last Friday night at Lambert.
The Raiders moved into a tie for first in Region 6-AAAAAA with West Forsyth and Johns Creek, but West Forsyth holds the tiebreaker thanks to wins over both North Fulton teams.
Dobbs connected with Carlos Burse twice for scores, including an 80-yarder. He also had scoring passes of 85 yards to Daniel Clements to snap a 7-7 tie in the second period, a 31-yarder to Andre Harton with two seconds left in the first half and a 56-yarder to Rodney Morris in the final period.
Burse scored the first Alpharetta touchdown on a 2-yard reception, with his 80-yard TD coming in the third period.
The Raiders (4-1, 5-3) finished with 550 yards of offense, while limiting the Longhorns (2-3, 5-3) to 270. Bryce Grauss led the Raiders’ defense with nine solo tackles.
Alpharetta hosts Centennial Friday and closes out the season next week at Johns Creek, with both games involving region playoff contenders.
