CUMMING, Ga. — A man who claimed to be the Grim Reaper held up another man with a knife and tried to steal his truck, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

On June 1, the homeowner of 5250 Cantrell Circle in north Forsyth County told deputies he was working on his truck when the suspect approached him with a knife.

Wearing only his boxer shorts, the suspect said, “I am the Grim Reaper and today is your day. Either your life or your truck.”

The victim said the keys were inside his house and told the suspect to let him go inside to get them. Once in the house, the victim told his wife to call the police while he grabbed a handgun and loaded a shotgun.

The suspect knocked on the door twice before the victim returned and said he was having a hard time finding the keys.

Then deputies arrived on scene. They arrested the suspect Ricky Chaffin, 19. He was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and robbery carjacking, both felonies.
