FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Parents who wish to apply for a hardship transfer or to renew a current hardship to another Fulton school for the next school year must submit their application by Feb. 15 to the Fulton County School System.
Hardship transfers are available for medical reasons, curriculum differences and childcare situations or for employees’ children. Transfers to schools participating in open enrollment, which is a separate transfer process that allows students to move to a school with available space, will be conducted in the spring.
Parents seeking hardship transfer can use an online form, available through the “Parents” section of school system’s website, to enter their information and then print it to obtain signatures and/or supporting documentation.
“Although using the online form will help expedite processing time, printed applications also can be picked up at all schools as well as the Fulton County Schools Administrative Center,” said a school system spokesperson.
All requests must be received or postmarked by 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 15, with no exceptions or waivers granted after the deadline. Applications can be sent by mail, fax or hand-delivered to:

School system employees who have children receiving an employee hardship transfer must renew their request through the Student Assignment Office.
