ALPHARETTA, Ga. — The newest Alpharetta location of the nonprofit dance studio Dancefx will be jump-starting their fall class schedule with the help of Sean Bankhead and Bloc South talent agency.
Dancefx was established in Athens, Ga. in 2000 to bring choreography and dance education to the Southeast and has expanded to Charleston, S.C., and recently to Alpharetta.
The dance studio offers master classes and other professional opportunities for participants.
With classes ranging from contemporary and hip-hop to ballet and Latin, dancers of all ages will find an opportunity to enhance their dance training at Dancefx. Classes start for students as young as 2.5 years old and range to adults of all experience levels.
About 80 classes per week will be offered at the Alpharetta location, 8465 Holcomb Bridge Road, and they will be kicked off with the help of Bankhead, a dance professional.
Bankhead has experience in choreography and art direction for stars like Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles, Keri Hilson and Soulja Boy. He will be teaching a master class on Aug. 3 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., which is open to dancers of all levels for only $20. Bankhead, a choreographer whose work can be seen in the animated movie “Megamind,” will be sharing his dancing expertise, while a Bloc South talent agent observes and scouts for fresh dance talent.
Feedback will be provided immediately following the class.
The two will also be hosting a question-and-answer session to share their knowledge of the dance industry.
This will be the first guest appearance to the new location, and Dancefx intends to bring more exciting events to dancers of the area.
