CUMMING, Ga. — A man told deputies someone stole his medication, but video surveillance tells a different story, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.
Deputies were dispatched to the Ingles Market parking lot, 2835 Keith Bridge Road, after a man said someone broke into his red Chevrolet Blazer about midnight Oct. 31.
He told deputies his global positioning system and two medication bottles were stolen from inside his center console.
He said his Percocet and Flexeril bottles had been filled with 120 pills each the day before.
Deputies viewed the video surveillance from Ingles and did not see anyone approach the man’s car.
Then, deputies checked the neighboring McDonald’s video surveillance and did not see anyone, either.
Deputies arrested Randy Wyrembelski, 51, and charged him with three counts of falsely reporting a crime, misdemeanors. He was taken to Forsyth County Detention Center.
